Product Use and Effectiveness

Our ultrasonic repellents are designed based on scientific principles and practical field testing to deter pests without harming them. However, results may vary depending on environmental factors, animal behavior, and installation conditions. No specific result can be guaranteed in all cases. Our products are deterrent devices and are not pest elimination systems.
While the majority of our customers report a significant reduction in pest activity, we cannot guarantee 100% effectiveness in all situations. Some animals may require an adjustment period (up to 2 to 4 weeks) before leaving the treated area, and in some cases (such as strong territorial behavior), results may vary. We strongly recommend that you carefully read the scientific study referenced in this article.
The mentioned scientific study is cited for informational purposes only and does not imply guaranteed effectiveness in all situations. It does not constitute an official endorsement by any health or regulatory authority.
Therefore, Sonic Barrier shall not be held liable for any lack of 100% effectiveness of a device on pests. Responsibility for Deliveries and Indirect Damages

Sonic Barrier is committed to processing and shipping orders as quickly as possible. However, we cannot be held responsible for delivery delays caused by the carrier, external events (strikes, weather, etc.), or any circumstances beyond our reasonable control. By ordering our devices, you agree to exercise patience in case of delivery delays. Likewise, a customer who requests a return due to delayed delivery agrees to cover the return shipping costs.
Similarly, Sonic Barrier shall not be held responsible for the inability to deliver to a customer’s home due to geographical location. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a delivery address accessible to the shipping companies used by Sonic Barrier. Otherwise, the customer must collect the package from a local pickup point designated by the carrier. Sonic Barrier cannot be held responsible for such a situation. Consequently, any return costs resulting from such a situation are the responsibility of the customer.
Additionally, Sonic Barrier shall not be held liable for any indirect damages resulting from the use or malfunction of the devices (including but not limited to loss of income, reputational damage, or persistent nuisances).

 

No Medical or Veterinary Claims

Our products are intended solely to deter pests. They are not designed to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, whether in humans or animals. Sonic Barrier does not offer any medical, veterinary, or psychological advice.
If you have concerns about the health or behavior of your pets or local wildlife, please consult a licensed veterinarian or appropriate professional.

 

Liability

Sonic Barrier, its owners, employees, and affiliated companies shall not be held liable for any damage, loss, or injury resulting directly or indirectly from the use of our products, reliance on information provided on the site, or failure to achieve the expected results.

Product Safety & Electrical Products

Many of our products are electronic devices that contain rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, replaceable batteries, or connect to mains power (plug-in). While our products are designed and manufactured to meet applicable safety standards, users must observe the following precautions:

Battery-Powered & Solar-Powered Products

- Do not attempt to open, disassemble, or modify the device or its battery.
- Do not expose the device to temperatures above 140°F (60°C) or below -4°F (-20°C).
- Do not puncture, crush, or incinerate the battery.
- Do not charge the device with a charger other than the one provided or the built-in solar panel.
- If you notice swelling, leaking, unusual heat, or a burning smell, discontinue use immediately and contact our customer service.
- Do not submerge the device beyond its stated water resistance rating (IPX4).
- Dispose of batteries in accordance with local electronic waste regulations. Do not dispose of in regular household waste.

Plug-In & Mains-Powered Products

- Only connect the device to a power outlet that matches the voltage and frequency specified on the product label (110V/60Hz for US, 220-240V/50Hz for EU).
- Do not use the device if the plug, cord, or housing is damaged.
- Do not use the device in wet or damp locations unless its water resistance rating permits it.
- Unplug the device during thunderstorms or when not in use for extended periods.
- Do not insert any objects into the device openings.
- Keep the device out of reach of small children.
- Do not cover the device or obstruct its ventilation openings.

General Safety

- Our products are designed for pest deterrence only and must be used in accordance with the instructions provided with each product.
- Misuse, modification, or use in conditions outside the product's specifications voids all warranties and releases Sonic Barrier from any liability for resulting damage or injury.
- Sonic Barrier is not responsible for damage caused by power surges, lightning strikes, flooding, or other events beyond our control.

Electrical devices must be used in a safe electrical environment. Sonic Barrier shall not be responsible for damages caused by defective electrical installations, unstable voltage, power surges, lightning, or non-compliant electrical outlets.

 

Product Compliance & Certifications

Sonic Barrier is committed to ensuring that our products meet applicable safety and regulatory standards. We work closely with our manufacturing partners to collect and verify compliance documentation for our product range.

For all electronic products, we collect at minimum two or more of the following:
- FCC compliance documentation 
- CE compliance documentation 
- RoHS compliance documentation

For battery-powered products, we additionally collect at minimum two or more of the following:
- UN38.3 lithium battery transport test certification (or equivalent)
- IEC 62133 battery safety test report (or equivalent)
- Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for battery components
- CCC / 3C certification

For plug-in and mains-powered products, we additionally collect at minimum one or more of the following:
- UL or ETL safety listing (US electrical safety)
- Low Voltage Directive (LVD) 2014/35/EU test report (EU electrical safety)

These certifications are obtained from the original manufacturers of our products.
Sonic Barrier acts as a distributor and does not manufacture products directly.
Product design, engineering, and manufacturing are performed by third-party manufacturers who bear responsibility for design and manufacturing defects.

Limitation of Liability — Product Defects

Our products are sourced from third-party manufacturers and undergo inspection before being made available for sale. Despite our quality assurance efforts, manufacturing defects may occasionally occur.

In the event of a product defect:

- We will arrange for a replacement or full refund in accordance with our Return Policy.

Sonic Barrier does not design or manufacture its products. Claims arising from design defects, manufacturing defects, or non-compliance with safety standards may be referred to the original manufacturer in accordance with applicable product liability laws.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sonic Barrier shall not be liable for damage to property, buildings, or surrounding structures arising from the use, misuse, or malfunction of the product, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
